Every Bridal Outfit You’ll Need Once You’re Engaged
Once you’ve said yes and are officially engaged, the dress you choose for your wedding isn’t the only look you need to plan for. There are events before and after the wedding that you need outfits for. While the outfit you wear for your wedding day is the most important and on the top of your list, there are many other important wedding-related outfits you need to plan — from your engagement party to the post-wedding brunch. Read on for tips and inspo of every bridal outfit you’ll need once you’re engaged.
Engagement Party
This is your first official wedding event as a bride. An engagement party usually involves a cocktail hour. Since everyone will be looking at your engagement ring, use the less is more approach when it comes to accessorizing. A nice dress or even pants and a cute top are all appropriate no matter the location. Don’t feel like you have to wear white — you can easily wear something you already own. And if you do buy something new, make sure it’s something you can re-wear. Just make sure you wear something you love and feel confident in.

Engagement Pictures
Engagement pictures can serve so many purposes, but it is also an important way to document this special time in your life. These pictures can be used for holiday cards, save the dates or just hanging on your wall. For your engagement picture outfit(s), you want to be able to feel confident. If you are not confident it will show on your face. Discuss with your photographer and partner what you want to wear. You can change outfits if you want a more formal look and a more casual look. Your photographer will have the best advice on how to complement or contrast your partner’s look.

Bridal Shower
You are the center of attention for your bridal shower; what you wear depends on the venue, formality and theme of your shower. Most brides wear white, but this is not necessary. You can wear colors from your wedding or a color you feel confident in. Feel free even to wear a fun print. Also, a dress isn’t necessary if that’s not your thing — you can wear jumpsuits, matching sets, pants, skirts, etc. The options are endless. Bachelorette Party
The bachelorette party is the time for you to have fun with your friends. And where you go and what you are doing is going to influence your outfits. But no matter what you’re doing, your outfits should show off that you are the bride! If going to the beach you’ll want fashionable swimsuits, sandals and coverups — preferably in white. If you are going to Vegas or somewhere else to party, you’ll want some fun white party dresses or matching sets. But like all of your other outfits, you want to feel comfortable and confident, otherwise you might not have as much fun as you should.

Rehearsal Dinner
The rehearsal dinner usually follows the wedding rehearsal so most brides opt for wearing white. During the wedding rehearsal you practice walking down the aisle, so wearing white shows that you are the bride. The type of outfit you wear depends on the venue where the rehearsal dinner is taking place. If the rehearsal dinner is a cocktail-type party, a white cocktail dress is a good option, or if you are having it at someone’s house, a cute white sundress will work. Again, wear something you feel comfortable in.

Wedding Day-Getting Ready
What you wear on the morning of your wedding is another important outfit to consider. You will need something to wear while you get ready and your photographer may want to snap some pictures of this process. The key to wedding morning getting ready attire is to wear something that does not interfere with your hair and makeup upon removal. Bridal robes and bridal party button-down shirts are the most popular, but bridal rompers are also a cute idea!

Post Wedding Brunch
A post-wedding brunch is a great way to unwind from all the wedding festivities. Wear something casual and comfortable. While you can wear a maxi or slip dress, you don’t have to wear a dress. This is generally the most casual of all the wedding-related events so ditch the heels and wear a more comfortable shoe, like flats, instead.
