Bridal Shower Outfit Inspo
We have all probably been to our fair share of bridal showers in the past, usually as a guest. Now it’s your turn to be the bride at your own bridal shower! One of the most important things to do on a bride’s checklist is to pick out the perfect wedding dress — once that’s done, you can focus and have fun with your other ensembles, including your bridal shower outfit. Since you are the bride, you can wear whatever you want. While most choose to wear white, it isn’t mandatory. With that being said, the options are endless.

How to Decide What to Wear
The theme of the bridal shower plays a big part in your bridal shower outfit but also so does the weather. First, determine what the weather/season of the bridal shower is going to be. Then take into consideration the venue, dress code, and theme. A bridal shower at a country club is going to have a different vibe than a brunch at someone’s house. Once you’ve narrowed these down, you can focus on the style and color of your outfit. You want to wear something that you feel the most comfortable in!
Picking a Color
As mentioned above, white is an obvious choice for a bridal shower outfit but it is not necessary. Some brides may choose to wear a color from their wedding colors or a color they feel confident in. Or pick a fun print or something that expresses your personal style. The choice is yours.
Selecting a Style
There isn’t really a specific style to choose from. It all depends on your personal preference. While dresses are usually the go-to, they are not the only option. Jumpsuits, matching sets, pants and skirts with tops all work. You can really glam them up with lace, silk/satin, crystals or sequins.
How to Make it Special
If you’d like to take your bridal shower outfit to the next level to make it special and personal, here are a few options:
- Incorporate your new last name into your outfit with a monogrammed accessory such as a clutch or piece of jewelry
- Wear heirloom jewelry
- Add a short veil
- Add bridal touches such as pearls or crystals to your accessories — belts, bags, headbands, etc.
