Located in Grand Rapids, Thousand Oaks Golf Club offers brides and grooms a stunning array of indoor and outdoor spaces for their ceremony and reception. “Conveniently located off the East Beltline and 5 Mile, just East of I-96, our event venue is open to the public and offers a variety of room options for up to 450 guests,” says Leanne Stoll, the Director of Marketing at RedWater Events. “Thousand Oaks’ venue features large windows with beautiful landscape views of the wooded, rolling hills and our professionally maintained golf course, access to a private patio, and a professional and experienced team to help make every event at Thousand Oaks a success! Your guests will also enjoy delicious in-house food and beverage catering from an extensive menu developed by our team of executive chefs.”
With five indoor event spaces, Thousand Oaks is certain to have just what you’re looking for when it comes to planning your reception. The Grand Oaks Ballroom, which is an impressive 5,087 square feet and can host up to 450 guests, includes built-in HD projectors and screens, house sound, microphones, three full bars that Stoll says ensure “your guests always have access to their favorite drinks,” and also a large open foyer with stone fireplace that’s “perfect for socializing and mingling with guests.”

But again, that’s not the only space Thousand Oaks offers. There’s also the 1,694-square-foot Evergreen Room that glows with brilliant natural light thanks to expansive windows and doors. The Evergreen Room includes a large wrap-around deck with sweeping views of the golf course. It provides “an ideal setting for outdoor events,” Stoll says. There’s also the Birch Room and Oak Arbor Room, which Stoll says are great for smaller weddings, rehearsal dinners, and showers. The Oak Leaf Lounge can host up to 64 guests, features a private deck overlooking the first hole of the golf course, and is ideal for intimate weddings and events.
Looking to host your wedding or ceremony outdoors? Thousand Oaks can accommodate that, too. The ceremony garden is located on the highest point of the golf club, giving guests a breathtaking sight. “The panoramic views of the lush, award-winning golf course features a captivating landscape that perfectly embodies the beauty of Michigan’s natural surroundings with its rolling terrain accented by towering trees, native grasses, and vibrant wildflowers,” Stoll says. A custom-built arbor is also included with the ceremony fee and can be fully decorated to your liking. Tented weddings are also available here but tents must be rented through an outside vendor.

As with all the venues under the RedWater Events umbrella, couples will not only love each and every space but also the staff that goes above and beyond for each of their couples. “We have an experienced event staff that makes the planning process as easy as possible for you,” Stoll says. “Our event service staff will take care of the setup, cleanup, and breakdown at all weddings so you can relax and enjoy the event with your guests.”
