Unique architectural details, beautiful outdoor spaces, and spacious rooms make the Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan Kalamazoo Regional Center a perfect spot for your dream wedding — with the added benefit of knowing you’re also supporting the Girl Scouts. 

“We love hosting weddings because it is such a unique way for people to support the Girl Scouts,” says Event and Rental Coordinator Ashley Mette. “We built this facility to provide a space for every girl, and all proceeds from our weddings and events go back to maintaining the building. It’s a very special opportunity to use your wedding to give back to a good cause.”

The Kalamazoo Regional Center is only two miles from downtown Kalamazoo, Mich., and features large indoor spaces with plenty of natural light that can host receptions of up to 200. The nationally recognized, state-of-the-art facility also includes an outdoor patio and a brick-paved area with a working fountain. Wedding packages include exclusive access to the entire facility, as well as tables and chairs, and the option to utilize the pre-existing string lights set up in the main room. 

The space also includes a bridal getting-ready room with a trifold mirror, and the on-site commercial kitchen is ready for anything from a formal sit-down dinner to a potluck buffet. Alcohol is welcome on the premises, as long as special event insurance is purchased. You can also lean into the Girl Scouts theme and offer Girl Scout cookies to your wedding guests!

The Kalamazoo Regional Center also allows for ultimate flexibility — couples have full freedom to decorate the space and bring in any vendors they need.

“Our facility is special because we allow you the creativity to make it your own,” Mette says. “It’s a fun opportunity for creative couples to decorate or set up the space in a unique way.” 

In addition to the Kalamazoo Regional Center, the Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan also features multiple camp locations for couples looking for a more outdoorsy wedding. These locations include Camp Linden in Linden, Camp Merrie Wood in Plainwell, and Camp o’ the Hills in Brooklyn. All camps are traditional Girl Scout campsites with rustic cabins, lake access, and beautiful vistas.
