In 2019, Bay Pointe added their newest venue, Bay Pointe Woods — an equestrian-inspired rustic beauty that can host up to 300 guests. “It is a hidden jewel surrounded by eighteen stylish cottages, water and fire features, and picturesque gardens,” Meads says. “It also features exposed wood beams, vaulted ceilings, and abundant natural light. We recently added a bridal room and greenery wall.”

She adds, “All of nature’s natural beauty is brought to life and embraced in a single venue at Bay Pointe Woods, exuding sophistication, exquisite cuisine, and exceptional service.” Couples love the ability for friends and family members to rent out the adjacent cottages, allowing guests to celebrate all weekend. “It’s just very fun and convenient,” she says. Outside the venue, a lush lawn serves as both the ceremony site, complete with a classic white pergola, and a space for guests to enjoy yard games during cocktail hour.

Seeking water views? Bay Pointe’s Lakefront Pavilion, an open-air reception space which hosts up to 200 guests, is picture perfect. “The Pavilion is surrounded by lush landscaping, a waterfall and koi pond, a sprawling patio, and an outdoor gas fireplace and tiki torches. It also features a greenery wall and many amenities that make it comfortable in different types of weather,” Meads says. Located on the shores of Gun Lake, Mead says it’s the views of the water that truly make this space standout as well as “the ability to have your ceremony on the water, and the beauty of golden hour and sunset pictures on the lake.” She recommends renting or bringing pontoon boats for more lakefront fun.

For those looking for a smaller space, the Fireside Room is an elegant yet intimate choice. “It’s perfect for rehearsal dinners, showers, brunches, and intimate weddings,” Meads says. Located in the Inn, near the resort’s restaurant Bay Pointe Bar & Grille, the newly renovated Fireside Room hosts up to 60 guests, features a stonework gas fireplace, and provides gorgeous natural light.

Built in 1886, the BoatHouse Villa is Bay Pointe’s most historic space. It boasts 125 feet of all-sport lake frontage as well as a lakefront patio and ceremony space. Ideal for smaller receptions of up to 80 guests, Meads says “this 5,000-square-foot ageless beauty is comfortably elegant, magnificently custom, and totally endearing.” But what most love about the BoatHouse Villa, is that accommodations are built in. “They can stay right on site the night before and/or after their big day to spend extra time with their friends and family,” Meads says. “It has the beauty and intimacy of a backyard wedding, but we do all the work and coordinating. And the accommodations allow everything to happen all in one spot, so the celebrations never have to end.”

With 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a furnished balcony that offers sunrise and sunset views, a loft and gourmet kitchen, the BoatHouse Villa will sleep 15 of your guests comfortably. The basement of the BoatHouse even has a bar, pool table and shuffleboard table for after-hours enjoyment. And like all Bay Pointe guests, those staying at the BoatHouse Villa will have access to all resort amenities, including the continental breakfast and pool.
