Located in the heart of Grand Rapids, the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park are known for their 158-acre campus, which can host ceremonies and receptions for up to 1,200 guests. With in-house catering, bar services, event coordinating options, and free admission for guests to wander select areas of the gardens, it’s the perfect location to blend the beauty of nature and all the amenities of a modern venue.

Glass House Community

An intimate event space in Zeeland, Glass House is a venue dedicated to learning, creating, and practicing being genuinely human. The Glass House can host events for 30 to 50 guests. Located on a historic farm, weddings at the venue have full use of the Glass House and its grounds. 

Fernwood Botanical Gardens

Michigan State University Horticulture Gardens

The Michigan State University Horticulture Gardens in East Lansing can be rented for unique outdoor wedding ceremonies and receptions. The gardens offer multiple locations to choose from, including large garden spaces, conservatories or an arboretum, and more. The gardens can host weddings for up to 250 people, or more for additional fees, and offer heated spaces for weddings during the colder months. 

Dow Gardens

Dow Gardens in Midland offers serene beauty and includes two beautiful ceremony locations: the Peninsula and the Willow. The Peninsula lawn is surrounded by ponds and perennial flowers, and it includes a view of the Dow Gardens historical stone and red bridges. The Willow location is in a breathtaking grove complete with a large willow tree and surrounding ponds. Capacity depends on location, but Dow Gardens can host up to 200 guests.

Matthaei Botanical Gardens

Nestled within the University of Michigan campus, the Matthaei Botanical Gardens in Ann Arbor includes both formal gardens and lush indoor conservatories. Matthaei offers seven distinct locations and plenty of indoor space available in case of rain or for large receptions. Locations include a perennial garden, herb garden, gateway garden, willow pond, conservatory, and more. Depending on the space chosen, the gardens can host weddings with up to 150 guests. 

Planterra Conservatory

Planterra Conservatory in West Bloomfield is a luxury greenhouse that includes indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception venues in one convenient location. Their services include event and floral design, food and beverage services, timeline and layout, specialty rentals, valet, day of event management, and a ceremony coordinator. 

Goldner Walsh

Goldner Walsh, located in Pontiac, is a 100-year-old facility that has its origins in cut-flower production. The facility now features multiple greenhouse wedding venues, an amphitheater, and 12 acres of gardens, rolling hills, and more. Goldner Walsh can host weddings for up to 200 guests depending on the selected space. 

Nagelkirk Gardens

Located in Marquette, Nagelkirk Gardens is the perfect destination garden venue for weddings with up to 150 guests. The venue offers location, furniture decor, and other rentals to assist with your event. You’ll have use of the fully-landscaped grounds, bridal suite, multiple tents, dance floor, lighting, gazebo, custom bar, and more.
