Eclectic Elegance Inspired by Carrie Bradshaw

For this bold, colorful styled shoot, photographer Michelle Lippert and event planner Brooke Simmons turned to a famous quote from one of the most iconic characters in modern television — Carrie Bradshaw: “Some women aren’t meant to be tamed. Maybe they need to run free until they find someone just as wild to run with.”

This idea of untamed freedom and bold individuality is quintessentially Carrie, and it served as the perfect muse for this styled shoot. The goal was to channel Carrie’s wild fashion side and create a setting that’s both bold and elegant, just like Carrie herself.

The theme of eclectic elegance emerged as the foundation for Simmons and Lippert’s creative process. Carrie Bradshaw’s expressive fashion sense was woven throughout the design, symbolizing her unique style while also capturing her delicate side. Some of the standout details include the chandelier floral installation above the table, a modern yet romantic cake with a floating tier and cake garden, vibrant invitation suite, and couture gowns.

Shot on location at Villa on Verona in Marshall, Mich., this styled shoot is more than just a visual feast — it’s a tribute to the indomitable spirit of Carrie Bradshaw. “By embracing her bold, untamed nature and her love for fashion, we created a tablescape that inspires confidence and celebrates individuality,” Lippert says. “The result was an elegant yet eclectic setting that encourages every woman to dream big and believe in the possibility of her own ‘fantasy’ wedding.”
