Wedding Day Actions:
1. Eat a Filling Breakfast
It’s easy to forget to eat when you’re caught up in the day’s events. However, a hearty breakfast is crucial. Think protein-packed eggs, whole-grain toast, or fruit for sustained energy. This meal will carry you through the long hours before the reception dinner.
2. Hug Your Mom
It’s a big day that will slip by in the blink of an eye. And remember that although it’s a big day for you, it’s also a big day for your mom. She’s watching her little boy become a married man, which is a very emotional moment! Make sure to save time to go give your mom a hug. She will remember the moment forever.
3. Check In With Your Groomsmen
Your groomsmen are there to support you, but they might need a gentle nudge to stay on schedule. Ensure they’ve all arrived, are dressed appropriately, and have everything they need. Use this moment to thank them for standing by your side—they’ll appreciate the acknowledgment.
4. Review Your Vows
If you’re reciting personal vows, take a few moments to review them in private. This is your opportunity to calm your nerves and center yourself. Don’t hesitate to practice out loud—you’ll feel more prepared when the time comes to say them in front of your partner and guests.

5. Water, Water, Water!
Between the nerves and endless excitement, hydration can easily slip your mind. Drink plenty of water throughout the morning to avoid feeling lightheaded or dehydrated during the ceremony. Keep a bottle nearby but steer clear of excessive caffeine or alcohol until later.
6. Take a Moment to Reflect
Your wedding day marks one of the most significant moments of your life. Before the whirlwind begins, carve out five to ten minutes to reflect on the journey that led you here. Think about your partner, your shared memories, and the commitment you’re about to make. It’s a powerful way to ground yourself.
7. Secure the Rings
Whether it’s you or your best man, someone must be responsible for the wedding rings. Double-check that they’re safely packed and easily accessible. This is not the time for a “who’s got the rings?” moment at the altar!
8. Arrive Early to the Venue
Aim to arrive at the ceremony venue at least 30–45 minutes early. This buffer allows time for last-minute adjustments, greeting the officiant, and calming your nerves. Being punctual also ensures everything runs smoothly.
