Elevate your wedding menu cards with bespoke ribbons indicating each entree

File this under ideas we love — these gorgeous wedding menu cards, designed by La Rue Pulido of Little Carabao Studio, were personalized with the guests’ names and color-coordinated ribbons to indicate their entrée selections. “It’s the first time I used this method for a project,” Pulido says. “My favorite thing about creating these menus — besides making the artwork — was the assembly process. It’s tedious but it allowed me to slow down and appreciate their beauty.”

For these menus, the Oahu, Hawaii-based calligrapher and artist was asked to incorporate the gardens at her client’s venue, Greencrest Manor Estate in Battle Creek, into the design. Using soft pastels and an impressionist style of painting, Pulido created artwork that was used for the couple’s invitation envelope liners and also printed on vellum paper for the overlay on the menu cards. Each guest’s name was handwritten in gold calligraphy ink, and the silk ribbons were dyed, torn, and frayed by hand.

“It’s so special creating custom pieces for my clients and hearing about their requests for their stationery,” Pulido says. “I love making their stationery vision come to life.”
