Explore Mt. Tabor Trails

Tabor Hills Winery and Round Barn Winery are located on the same property and are connected by 3.5 miles of trails that loop through woods, vineyards, and fields. Free for guests of either winery, the trails vary between easy, moderate, and difficult and feature trail names like Pinot Path and Demi Lane. 

The best part? You can hike with a drink! The Vineyard Lawn Bar at Round Barn and the Vineyard Lounge at Tabor Hill serve drinks that guests can take with them on the trails. What better way to celebrate than to explore the local woods with your besties, wine in hand! Not interested in a long hike? The shortest path between the two wineries is just over one mile — more than doable for the dedicated group. 

Food & Drinks

Before you go for a hike, make sure to explore the food and wine options at either winery. Both Tabor Hill Winery and Round Barn Winery have many award-winning wines to offer, which you can taste by the flight, glass, or bottle. However, they also offer full cocktail and beer menus that appeal to a broader group.

Tabor Hill offers a full restaurant with lunch and dinner reservations, which makes it an ideal spot for a nice meal out with the crew. However, both wineries also offer small snacks, sharables, and charcuterie boards for lighter fare during the day. Round Barn Winery also allows you to order food for delivery from the Round Barn Brewery & Public House, which is located a few miles up the road. 

If you want a more exclusive experience, both wineries offer opportunities for more private tastings or gatherings. Tabor Hill offers group reservations for 10+ guests with wine flights and a charcuterie menu. Round Barn offers a more casual experience with vineyard cabanas available for rent in the summer and heated igloos in the winter. 

Where to Stay

To get the most out of your trip, find a place to stay locally! You can stay right on the winery’s property at the Estate House at Round Barn Winery. With space for up to 8 guests, the location is perfect for a small bachelorette group that wants to kick back and relax with wine on the back deck. There are also multiple other rentals nearby, including this beautiful home in Buchanan with a hot tub, just down the road!

Other Activities 

If wine and hiking aren’t enough, then make sure to watch the wineries’ events pages. Their calendars are often full of amazing live music and other events. In 2023, the two wineries offered live music, a sangria party, an artisan market, a 5k on their trails, a Blues & Brews event, and a seafood boil. They even offered a Terror at Tabor event in October! Stay tuned for the 2024 event schedule to be released in the spring. 

The two wineries also created the Sip & Savor Wine Trail, encouraging guests to explore their multiple other venues.
