Dearest Readers,

The ton are abuzz with the news — you’re celebrating upcoming nuptials with a Bridgerton-themed bachelorette party! You clearly have exquisite taste — and with our help, you can awe your guests with the most beautiful regency-themed party. Continue on, dear reader, and you’ll learn everything you need to know to plan the perfect Bridgerton party, from location and decor to food, drinks, and activities.

High Tea or Garden Party

The most important step to planning a Bridgerton-themed bachelorette party is picking your venue — and that depends on the type of party you want to throw. If you’re interested in an elegant afternoon high tea, we recommend looking for a local hotel or event space that can help you achieve the perfect atmosphere. We love High Tea GR, The Pink House Tea Room and B&B in New Baltimore, MI, or splurge on Afternoon Tea at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island.

However, if you’re looking for more of a Garden Party vibe, check out Zingermans Cornman Farms for the perfect spot! You can also search for a house rental on Airbnb or VRBO for a weekend away house party. After all, house parties are where all the fun and scandal happen!

Custom Invitations

Set the tone for your Bridgerton-themed party with beautiful, formal invitations. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can handwrite them for a personal touch. However, we also love these editable invitations on Etsy — the purple wisteria is perfectly on theme!

We also love the idea of sealing your invites with a wax seal, to give it that extra touch. You can find the seals and wax on Amazon — we like this one

Dress To Theme — Or Nearly

Don’t let your guests get caught dressed informally! Make sure to include tips for dressing in the regency style on your invite. For the ladies, we recommend empire waisted gowns, lace gloves, pearls, and maybe a tiara for the bride. She is the the diamond of the season, after all! For the men, waistcoats, long tailed jackets, and tall boots are key. You can search online, or make a day of it with your squad and thrift for your costumes. Don’t forget to embrace the jewel tones and bedazzled or floral elements of Bridgerton outfits! You can even host a costume contest to vote on the best dressed for the theme.

If you don’t want to dress strictly to theme, any tea-length gown will work beautifully. We particularly love this puff sleeve floral lace dress on Amazon

Lean In To The Decor

Whether your party is at a rental property, a hotel tea room, or in a garden, it’s the decor that will really drive the theme home. Focus on creating an elegant tabletop, with lace placemats, vintage tea sets, antique elements, candlesticks, and romantic flower arrangements. We love this champagne-colored tulle backdrop for the perfect photo opps, but don’t forget a floral garland or lights for the finishing touch.

Food & Drinks

When it comes to the refreshments, think elegant — but boozy! Go all out on the scones, mini pies, finger sandwiches, cookies and fruits — you can even order up some themed sugar cookies from a local bakery! However, don’t forget to spice things up a bit with some Bridgerton-themed cocktails. We recommend the Bridgerton Brother Bramble!

Games & Activities:

After the high tea and cocktails, it’s time to get everyone up and moving with some on-theme games! We love a mix of traditional games with a Bridgerton twist — Bridgerton Trivia or a classic game of Never Have I Ever based on certain scenes in the show. If a watch party is more your speed, we recommend trying Bridgerton Bingo to make the show viewing more interactive.

If the group is willing to venture outdoors, however, it’s the perfect time to challenge everyone to a classic game of Pall-Mall, or croquet. A little rivalry never hurt anyone — although hopefully your group of Pall-Mall players will be more sportsmanlike than the characters in the series!

A Token Of Your Appreciation

End the party on a high note with favors for your guest to take home. You don’t have to go overboard, but a small gift bag makes a perfect thank you gift for everyone. A themed T-shirt is always fun — or you can include  copies of the Bridgerton books! Gourmet teas are also a fun, affordable, and on-theme favor.
