If you’re planning an epic bachelorette weekend, then look no further than Detroit. It has everything for every kind of bride, from games, concerts, plays, and tours to just living it up and exploring award-winning restaurants and fun, trendy bars. As experts on hosting the best bachelorette weekend in Motown, we’ve compiled our list of favorite places to stay, eat, drink, and have fun. Start planning your weekend now!

Where to Stay

No matter what sort of overnight lodging you’re looking for, you will find it in Detroit or the surrounding areas. Places right in downtown Detroit will come with a slightly higher price tag, but also come with the convenience of being near anything you could want.

  • The Siren: The Siren Hotel is only minutes from downtown Detroit and offers a vibe all its own. With lush velvet furniture and jewel-tone decor, The Siren evokes old-world glam with dozens of Instagram-able angles. Ideal for small groups, the hotel offers a few lofted rooms with living room spaces so the whole group can gather together. The hotel also features a restaurant, cafe, and bar onsite — make sure to check out Candy Bar for some unbeatable photos and delicious drinks!

  • MGM Grand Casino or Motor City Casino: Either MGM Grand or the Motor City Casino are great options for groups who want a little built-in fun with their hotel. Ask about suites or connecting rooms to make it a real party!
  • Detroit Foundation Hotel: Housed in the former Detroit Firehouse Headquarters, the Detroit Foundation Hotel is a high-end option located close to everything downtown has to offer. Decorated with items made by local artists and makers, the hotel also features a well-known bar, The Apparatus Room.
  • Nearby Rentals: You can also check online for nearby rentals for larger groups — this Eastern Market Loft sleeps 8, and this loft in Corktown sleeps 10. Both locations offer great options for food and drinks but are also only a quick drive away from downtown proper.

Where to Eat

The best part of any bachelorette weekend is the food and drinks! Make some reservations at an upscale restaurant, or feel free to wander Greektown or Corktown with the crew and see what sounds good!

  • Parc: You’ll need a reservation at Parc, but it’s in the heart of Campus Martius and the food is worth it! Plus, if you can snag a table by the windows, you’ll be in for some of the best people-watching.

  • Grey Ghost Detroit: Located a little north of downtown, between Brush Park and Midtown, Grey Ghost is modern and perfect if the group wants to get a little fancy. Make a reservation and try some of their amazing cocktails!
  • Barda: Barda is a little farther from downtown Detroit than most other options on this list but is well-known for its amazing cocktails. Their Argentinian-inspired menu is amazing and worth the trip.
  • Table No. 2: If you’re looking for more of a private party atmosphere, Table No. 2 has the space to accommodate and is conveniently located in Greektown near casinos and other bars. Their menu is heavy on seafood (yum!) but also offers plenty of options for the whole group.
  • Casual Dining: If you’re looking for more casual dining options or even just a small late-night bite, the options are endless. Check out either American or Lafayette Coney Islands for a classic Detroit experience, Pegasus Taverna in Greektown, or Ottava Via in Corktown.

Where to Drink

What’s a bachelorette weekend without a couple of after-dinner stops for drinks? There are so many fun options in Detroit, and it’s impossible to fit them all in one weekend.

  • The Skip: Located in the Belt in Detroit, the Skip is a fun, tropical-themed bar. With a large garage door that opens into the alley, the bar is partially outdoors and features delicious frozen drinks.

  • Bad Luck Bar: The Bad Luck Bar is an experimental bar that keeps their door locked. That’s right — you have to call ahead and make a reservation to even get in! But once you get access, it’s an exclusive experience guaranteed to please.
  • Elwood Bar & Grill: If your group is more into beer than cocktails, then Elwood Bar & Grill is a must. Located across the street from both Comerica Park and Ford Field, this sports bar is a definitive Detroit experience.

  • Spkrbox: This fun spot is both a coffee shop and a bar, but in the evening it turns into the Detroit Techno Club! They also book private parties, so be sure to reach out!
  • Sugar House: Located in Corktown, the Sugar House is known for craft cocktails — and their cocktail menu is long! Everyone in the group is guaranteed to find something, especially with their house single barrel selections.

What to Do

Don’t stop at dinner — there is so much more to do in Detroit! Keep the party going with some of the below activities.

  • Watch a Game: No matter what time you’re in town, there will be a game to pique your interest. From the Lions and Tigers to the Red Wings and Pistons, root for a local team before heading out on the town!
  • Catch a Show: So many amazing artists come through Detroit, and if the timing works for your group, we highly recommend taking the opportunity to see one of them live! Check out the schedules at The Fillmore Detroit, Fox Theatre, Saint Andrew’s Hall, or the Masonic Temple.

  • Explore Detroit: For the group looking for something a little different, we recommend taking things a little slower and exploring some non-traditional options for a bachelorette celebration. Check out the Detroit Institute of Art for an afternoon of beauty, or head out to Belle Isle for a hike. You can also book a tour to kayak or paddleboard on the Detroit River!
  • Party All Day: If you want non-stop fun, we can deliver. For groups that like to gamble, there are plenty of local casinos. Motor City, MGM Grand, and Hollywood Casino in Greektown are great options. Check out Handlebar Detroit or Detroit Rolling Pub for a fun, active experience — pedaling your bar around town! Lastly, Cadieux Cafe is a Belgian cafe and bar on the eastern side of town with feather bowling, darts, and occasional live music!
